The Bridge Ministry

"We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. About 3,000 kids enter the foster care system every year just in Franklin County. About 1/3 of those kids are placed with family members who don’t have any support system and kids in foster care move an average of 7 times. The Bridge Ministry exists to wrap around these foster/adoptive/kinship families through intentional engagement and support. Not everyone is called to be a foster parent, but we are ALL called to do something. Action steps - how you can get involved:

PRAYER TEAM - Join the prayer team to cover the families and ministry in prayer.

NEEDS TEAM - Join the needs team to receive updates on donations that are needed to help the families. https://aliciasclosetcolumbus.org Alicia's Closet 

CARE TEAM - Commitment once/twice a month for a year. One hour of training. Join 4-5 other volunteers to be on a care team that will be assigned to a specific foster/adoptive/kinship family in our community. You will become their extended family helping to carry the burden. You will be providing a meal once a month as well as some practical help such as tutoring, transportation, laundry, yard work, etc.
